Wow, I think that's the first time I've read that.
I've been on the fence on this radio for a while. I have a Pannasonic 2200 and a few other great DX Radios so it's not a must-buy. That second or two delay might be a deal-breaker for me. It's that way on one of my Sangean radios and I find it totally annoying.

I wish C. Crane would eliminate the muting while tuning and also allow the user to select the frequency rather than the clock as the default display.

One other thing: on the CCRadio-2E I tried, the AGC was a bit "fluttery" (too fast) for my taste. The Sangean PR-D5 (non-DSP based) has a much more stable AGC, which is more pleasant to listen to when fading occurs.
