As I debate over Chrome and Firefox, I find the latter has the annoying habit of freezing my computer with a message pop up: "Warning: Unresponsive Script . . . Debug Script . . . Stop Script . . . Continue . . ."
There is some other nonsense on the pop-up but my intent is to unfreeze my Apple but pressing Command Option Escape is futile so that I have to shut off my computer. Next time I'll drop the Apple menus and click on Force Quit to see if that works. If this problem continues, it's goodbye, Firefox.

Maybe these links will help.

Firefox is surprisingly buggy. I've been using it almost since the beginning, about 10 years. But Chrome seems faster and perhaps less buggy, but I'm just used to Firefox.

I'm still running Windows XP----and I know that as computers and operating systems age, and as new browser versions are introduced, things get "buggy" for me. Ironically, I find that Firefox is better for my computers than Internet Explorer, which crawls along, barely moving. Does anyone know if there's a recommended, "simplified" browser especially for older PCs?

I use Google Chrome and I'm a former Firefox user, I sticking with Chrome on my netbook now that I'm over the initial learning curve

Wow! I was having the same issues with Firefox tried every fix including the official one recommended by Mozilla's support and in their forums as well as other forums. No joy.
Sadly, I have had to abandon/uninstall my previously favorite, Firefox browser. I have no problems with script errors running IE, Chrome or Sea Monkey. Until and when Firefox finds a fix for this issue, I will no longer invest any more time and effort to "fix" an issue that is broken within this browser app.
