Yesterday I went to Watch City to have a link added to my Citizen Grand Touring. Matt said it only needed a half link. I capitulated but regretted not adding a full link. By the time I got home, my wrist, expandinig in the heat, was making me wish I had gotten the full link. So this afternoon before walking into Watch City, I'll do a few windsprints at the mall and show Matt how tight the CGT is on my wrist. When Matt asks why I'm out of breath, I'll explain my windsprint strategy and add, "But I don't want you to think I'm crazy."
I should start compiling these anecdotes for my Diary of a Watch Addict.
Here is a short review of my Citizen Promaster Eco-Drive BN0100-00E diver, which I received this week.
I've been interested in the Citizen Promaster Eco-Drive BN0100-00E dive watch for some time. This model does not appear on Citizen's U.S. web site, but it is widely available. Here's the info about the watch posted on Citizen's Australia web site.

I really like this watch. The bezel is reminiscent of the Seiko Sumo. The hour markers are similar to those of some Omega Seamaster models. The handset is an unusual and pleasing design.
This is a smaller dive watch than many available today, although it's similar in diameter to many Seamasters. The stainless steel case is 41mm wide by 12mm thick. The dial diameter is 32mm, which is a larger diameter than one might expect given the case diameter. This is due to the bezel being relatively thin. This watch wears larger than you might expect based on its case diameter alone.
With the white-filled hands and hour markers, and the black face, this watch is very readable (one of the best I have in this regard). The hour markers and hour hand are chrome-lined, which catches light in a nice way when the watch is moved around. The orange-lined minute hand adds some interest to the design.
Being an Eco-Drive, the movement is about as low maintenance as it can be. Just feed it some light on a regular basis and it will charge the battery.
This watch has a screw-down crown and 200m water resistance. It is pretty light weight and comfortable to wear on the rubber strap. There is also a version with a stainless steel bracelet (BN0100-51E).
The lume is quite good. The hands and markers have blue lume, and the pip on the bezel has green lume. I have included my attempt at a lume photo.
I think this is an excellent dive watch for the money. I like the looks better than any other dive watch I've seen for this price, and the Eco-Drive movement should be accurate and reliable.

I only have one dress watch, my Citizen Grand Touring. I've tried to sell it twice but gave up as I could sense that people were waiting for a fire sale.
But I never needed to sell the CGT; it just wasn't getting a lot of wrist time. It really deserves a lot more.
I took it to Watch City today to have a link added. I was 225 when I had it fit for my wrist several months ago. Today I'm 235. It's perfect now but I'd still like a half link added for good measure. This is a stunning piece, both bold and subtle. I'm glad I decided to keep it.
Amazon is selling some Lapizta Skyros models. My favorite is the gunmetal L25.2003. I don't know much about the lume or build quality at this point but I do love this design.
