I saw a small article about the Lexon Mezzo Radio in the October issue of Wired. It runs on 4 double A batteries and looks retro cool. I'm skeptical about AM/FM performance, however. In any event, I am eager to hear some reviews. Gizmodo also has a small blurb about it.

It looks ruthlessly cheap for a radio that costs 60.00.

Looks like a tweed Teletubby. Not even remotely interested when the proven and much more capable Radio Shack DX-402 is nearly half the price: http://www.amazon.com/RadioShack-AM-FM-Shortwave-Radio/dp/B00K58WL18/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1412557217&sr=1-2&keywords=radioshack+radio
