I only have one dress watch, my Citizen Grand Touring. I've tried to sell it twice but gave up as I could sense that people were waiting for a fire sale.
But I never needed to sell the CGT; it just wasn't getting a lot of wrist time. It really deserves a lot more.
I took it to Watch City today to have a link added. I was 225 when I had it fit for my wrist several months ago. Today I'm 235. It's perfect now but I'd still like a half link added for good measure. This is a stunning piece, both bold and subtle. I'm glad I decided to keep it.

Such a gorgeous watch and nice pictures. In fact, it may be my favorite of your watches, or at least along with the Tuna and OSD.

Sometimes, a watch not selling is "meant to be." It wasn't ready to go yet and you're now reaping the benefits by giving it another look.

I've had my eye on this watch for over a year, and also your auction since September. My wife surprised me by buying your watch as my Christmas/birthday gift this year, and I'm letting you know that it has found a lifetime home alongside my gold/white Calibre and black/black/diamond Calibre. Not sure that this message offers much consolation for your loss, but thanks for taking care of it up until now.

Mike, I'm glad it found a good home. Between my Seiko SUN019, my Benarus Moray 44mm Dart, and my Ecozilla on the Suppa bracelet, I just can't give the CGT it deserves. Happy birthday, my man.

"I just can't give the CGT THE WRIST TIME it deserves" is what I should have written above.

Not a bad problem to have; guess I feel better now. And by the way, can you or anyone else reading this recommend a good place for Citizen refurbishment besides Citizen itself? I wore my gold for 5 years and never took it off, and then bought the black which has not left my wrist for three years. I have some bezel/case scratches and case/band wear, so basically the whole of both watches are blemished. I was quoted $275 per watch from Citizen, which would make me more inclined to just replace them if anything.

I can't answer that one. Funny, though, I live in Torrance and Citizen headquarters is in Torrance.
