These kinds of posts never grow old, at least t the nerdily obsessed.

The OSD is a classic - my favorite watch that I plan to sell.

Sometimes we do sell watches that we love. Why? Because we don't wear them. The CGT is my example.

jonnybardo

Yup. I'll probably sell the Prometheus, Burett, and Orient Star Seeker before the Sumo and OSD, which I'll give one last go around to see if I want to keep them. I may end up keeping one or the other.

herculodge

To my dismay, I toyed with the idea of selling my OSD a few months ago, but recently I compared it favorably to my Grail, the SBDB001, and now the OSD is my favorite. Remember my Sumo drama. Those classic styles tend to be keepers.

jonnybardo

Yeah, I think that's what makes a classic classic. The OSD is possibly the best dive watch you can get for $1K or under.

If you had sold your OSD a few months ago you might be on #2 now.

Jeffrey McMahon

Thank God I kept it and didn't have to go through that drama.

jonnybardo

Well you've helped me convince myself to take the OSD off the chopping block. First the Accutron VX200 now the OSD - this isn't going in the right direction. I got to start selling some of these things.

herculodge

From my vantage point, you only need--and would be happier--if you got your collection down to 5: Two Omegas, OSD, Sumo, and Zixen. Your collection is complete. Sell the rest. I should cut my collection down to 5 also. There's a pact.

Sorry multiple posts. More info about the monsters here. I know you love the monsters Jeff, I can't wait to get one myself. Both are on amazon.com now.

If I was going down to five I'd swap the Sumo out for one of the chronos and I'd want the Oris in there. So five wouldn't work. Seven maybe? We could start with a "Pact of 8" and re-evaluate when we get there.

Angelo

This pact you guys are discussing---getting down to 5 watches each (and staying there) is about as likely to succeed as the pact on Seinfeld. Remember that one? Who held out the longest, Elaine?
