I don't think that's actually true, that you have to wear a kinetic twice a week. That said, even once a week narrows your options significantly and puts a limit on your horological mood. I think you have four choices:

1) Get a winder
2) Sell one of the kinetics
3) Wear the kinetics 1-2 days each, taking up 2-4 days per week on those two watches
4) Don't worry about it and let them run out of juice

My guess is that the third isn't viable long-term and is clearly causing you anxiety, and that the fourth would shift it to a new kind of anxiety, so then it becomes a matter of how much you like those two kinetics. If you really like them both, it may be time to get a winder.

What I took from reading that thread is that it took a total of five days at most to reach full charge (estimated from one day in every three for two weeks). Considering the watch can last for six months on a full charge, wouldn't that mean you'd only have to wear this watch for a week every six months to keep it running? I don't see why you'd want to sell it, it seems pretty low-maintenance to me. Maintaining FULL charge would require regular wear, but why would you want to do that? Apologies if I have misunderstood this.

I doubt I'll buy a 300-dollar charger. The plan is to find a middle ground. Don't let them go to empty, but don't worry about keeping full charge. I like them both too much to sell them. But I'd be so much happier if they had the Sumo movement in them.

True Jeff, but then they would have been $100-150 more.

I agree with Ulysses - I think he's right on. I didn't even think about the exact phrase of "full charge." Maybe get them up to full charge and then you probably only have to wear them once a week or two, and then every couple months wear them for a few days straight. You could also just make a habit of giving them both a few shakes every day.

Jonny, I agree. I think I'll try the Ulysses way for a month or two.

I thought about that too---the watch doesn't need a full charge to function. But when I had a Kinetic, it bothered me that when I went to wear it and tested the charge, it was barely registering. It was still charged and keeping time, but just barely according to the watch itself. That made me feel like I needed to wear it more---or that I'd eventually go to wear it and it would be dead. That was "needy" on the watch's part, so I sold mine. Then again, with dozens of watches, it was harder for me to give the Kinetic wrist time without feeling compromised. If I had under 10 watches, I might not have been as quick to sell----but still might have sold anyway.
