In my desire to keep my collection as small as possible and wanting one comfortable rubber strap watch, I've decided that in January I'll put my Citizen Promaster BN2029 for sale and if I can part with the toolish looking Super Engineer in photo above, put the rubber strap back on the Seiko Tuna. This maneuver would bring me down to 9 watches:
1. Seiko Tuna
2. Seiko Fieldmaster SBDL021
3. Seiko Kinetic Diver SUN019
4. Seiko SRP307
5. Seiko Sumo
6. Orient Saturation Diver
7. Eco-Zilla
8. Benarus Moray Dart
9 Benarus Megalodon (supposed to ship today or tomorrow)
Future Temptations
I've been liking the Citizen Promaster Sky Japanese only models in both stainless steel and black but I wonder how they would play on my wrist.
Also, I continue to like the Zixen Nitrox LS but that desire is tempered by an ongoing case of Swiss ETA-phobia.
You've got quite a collection of Seiko divers there, Jeff. All that's missing - at least in the sub-$1500 category - is a Darth Tuna. Of course one could argue that rather than spend $1200-1500 on a Darth Tuna, you might as well wait and spend $2500-2800 on that Spring Drive Tuna.
Anyhow, nice collection. I think a black Citizen Fly Promaster would add a lot to it - not only all-black, but a pilot style.
As for the Zixen, you might find that you only have time for one big micro-diver, like I did, and that as long as you like the Megalodon, there wouldn't be wrist time for that and the Zixen.

Yeah, I prefer the black Fly Promaster. And then don't buy a watch for two years and get the Spring Drive Tuna. Now there's a plan.

Jeff,
I see some watches called Citizen Promaster Sky, but I haven't found any called Fly yet. Please provide a link or model number.

My mistake, Gary. It's Citizen Promaster Sky. I like the black one the most: http://www.ebay.com/itm/141458225203?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

OK. That's the one I saw. Kind of pricey still. Citizen has some older Eco-Drive, radio-controlled world chronographs that are currently selling for half of that or less.

Keep in mind that the slide-rule bezel makes the watch face smaller, as with my Citizen Blue Angels world chronograph AT8020-03L. The Citizen Attesa AT8040-57E that Jonny likes lacks the slide-rule bezel, so the face should be larger compared to the outer bezel or case. As far as I can tell, that one only comes in stainless, not black.

Jeff,
Here's an older model, all-black Citizen World Chronograph AT8025-51E for only $325 (over $500 less than the new Promaster Sky BY0084-56E). It's the all-black version of my AT8020-03L.

For whatever reason, the AT8020, while very sharp, doesn't command my attention like the Sky BY0084. I wish the former did though as that would save me money.

The Attesa comes in black as well, just more expensive:

Anyhow, I've seen the less expensive ones, Gary, but the Promaster Sky is just a nicer watch.

It's possible that the Attesa and Promaster Sky will drop in price after awhile. This seems to happen with many Citizen watches (and Casios too, for that matter).

I hope so. I'm also leery to order from overseas because of possible customs duty. It doesn't happen very often, but it can happen.
