This morning I tried to get some morning video with the Canon Powershot S4 and I failed (my wife will show me later), probably a good thing with the nearby lawnmower roaring in the background. So I settled on photos.
My objective was to show the detail of the gunmetal Citizen Promaster Sky BY0084-56E, a highly refined watch that needs a lot of light to show its intricate design.
Just recently I realized there is a jet symbol on the dial near the 8 marker. I decided to throw in the Seiko Fieldmaster SBDL021 for a comparison. While the Fieldmaster has a 48mm case (46mm bezel) and the Promaster Sky has a 45mm case, you can see in the pics that the open bezel style of the Promaster makes it play big.
If you had no watches and started with these two watches, that would be a very nice beginning.
It is definitely creeping up there towards possible purchase for me. I figure that, once I sell the OSD, you and I will no longer have any watches in common for the first time in years, so I'll have to get the Promaster Sky to re-affirm the Herculodge-Disciple/Jonny Casual Alliance.
How's that for tenuous watch purchase justification?

If you get the stainless version, I'll be jealous and have to get it.

Haha, I wouldn't do that to you. I think I'd go for the black - I find it more appealing, more unique. Of course you know that you're going to get the silver metal version eventually, so you might as well go for it.
By the way, you almost became dead to me with your mention of a lawnmower. Snowmageddon continues in New England - we're having our fourth snow-day in two weeks. It is nice to have the time off, although being cooped up with the kids all day can be a bit nerve-wracking.
