D-I-F, is this one of the ones with the "Superadio" tuner in it? Looks like it has external ant. jacks on the back:

No, I'm about 90% sure it isn't as it's missing something every SR has: an AFC switch. There are three stereo boxes, and the one mono box above outside of the standard "!, 2, and 3"
That one gets mistaken for one quite a bit as does the 7-2881C "Big Sound", 7-2857A, and 3-5508A "Loudmouth 3" AM/FM 8-track.
It's the big loopstick, tuned RF amp, and open air tuning cap(with the exception of the varactor tuned SR3), and extra IF stage that makes the difference, and none of those have one.
If GE would have marked the other SRs with something indicating they were it would have led to a lot less confusion....though all but two have "long range" on the dial, and one of the two (SR3) have "SUPERADIO" on the case.
One of them does such a good job hiding what it is (though the box it came is says "WITH SUPERADIO TUNER" in big bold letters on it) that the loopstick is hidden behind the tuner dial.

Who would have guessed?

Oh..and for the record there's a digital "Superadio Plus" 7-2882_..but it's extremely rare as it was only in production for a very short time.
I hate to say this, but I can't help but be slightly skeptical of this one do to so many that arn't..though at the same time the controls are in the same place as the SR. It could very well be the real deal, but never having seen one in person and it being so rare that even pictures of it are hard to find...not to mention the often $300+ price tag...I'm not 100% sure. I'm scared someone will fork over the high price for one then get mad at me for it not doing what they hoped it would after I said it was a Superadio.
Can anyone confirm this one?
