I thought $150 was pricey for an analog radio, but then the price was revised to $89.32 on Amazon Prime. This makes it a serious temptation for me when it becomes available.

Personally, I like the Looks of the WR-11 better. I've always preferred "slide rule" dials over arced ones.
After looking at it again (WR-15) the Dial looks to "busy". But that's just my opinion, I'm sure others would disagree.
Receiver wise, I wish I could find a schematic and compare the two.

Why this over the WR-22? I could see getting the 15 if you were AARP-age, looking for something to replace the ol' Bendix, but a new table radio with no memories, no Bluetooth, no stereo is a little out of place nowadays, no?

StarHalo, you sure did a good job of making me feel old. What can I say? I'm drawn to it.

If you're going to go old-school analog, go all the way; this guy was at the Riverside Mall recently, bristling with lovely tubes on the interior: http://i.imgur.com/AEYCeRK.jpg

There was a nice tube radio on Amazon 5 years ago or so. It didn't have Sangean nameplate but clearly it was made by Sangean. I wish I would have bought it. In fact, I found the post. Pablo bought it and liked it. It was called Acoustic Research: http://herculodge.typepad.com/herculodge/2010/05/pablo-gives-thumbs-up-to-his-acoustic-research-av100-table-radio-with-ipod-dock.html

Oh we still sell tube radios, Bluetooth and stereo to boot: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AI1FIE4?ie=UTF8&at=&force-full-site=1&ref_=aw_bottom_links

If you live in the UK, Europe or Asia, you can get the WR-15 with Bluetooth:

Unfortunately, Sangean US says they probably won't carry it in the US. Shucks.

Nice new tubeset. Any idea if the RF circuits are tube as well, or is it just the audio?
As far as this Sangean goes; it may not be analog. Those radio-on-a-chip things are becoming more and more common as they don't need all of the i.f. cans and such. It's a cheaper way to build a radio. Something with an old type dial dosn't have to be good old analog superhet anymore. There's a few fairly low price SW sets that are chip with a dial, and the last Rat Shack transistor is as well.

I think a lot of us out here in Radioland are looking, consciously or not, for something with the substantial look and sound of our parents' or grandparents' old table radio, but with modern features. I haven't tried one of these, but I love the look: http://www.amazon.com/Wolverine-RSR100-Retro-Bluetooth-Speaker/dp/B00FFE80GW/ref=pd_sim_sbs_e_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=1Y02MZKY1GQREXCWKK9P

Replica of the Grundig radio.
When I was just a youngster a neighbor of mine had one. What a beauty!! The rich sound out of a table radio that I had never heard before (they have more than one speaker which gave that wonderful sound). They were made in W. Germany at the time, were quite expensive and well made. The tuning knob had a massive flywheel which made tuning as smooth as silk. You can still find them on eBay. Ones in good condition still aren't cheap, and will still run circles around the $69 knock off.
