Good story, Jeff. What ever happened to Franconi?

I don't think I ever had a "what the hell am I doing" moment, at least not to the extent that you're describing. I always did well in school, in college and in my career (I'm now retired). When I was a kid, my parents were very supportive. My dad, who eventually had two master's degrees (engineering and MBA), continued to help me with my homework even in high school when I got stuck on something and just couldn't figure it out. Due to his support, I graduated from CSUN with a BSEE, and eventually moved to IT (Unix sys admin) later in my career.

So it sounds to me in this video, you look down at us working class types. I see nothing wrong with factory work or pumping gas. Some of us are proud to be working class and don't give a fuck about what people think. College degree don't mean shit in my book when its all said and done. Don't look down at people for what they do for a living my friend.

I agree with your points. No intention to denigrate pumping gas or factory work. I was speaking of the pathologies of individuals who happened to be doing such functions but I had not intention to paint people who do that work as sharing in those pathologies.

I haven't seen the dude in 35 years or so. I don't know what became of him.

I had a what the hell am I doing moment in the mid 1970s when I returned college. I enjoy your vids Jeff

Thanks, Tom. Good to hear from you. It's been a while. I know I haven't bought a lot of radios lately to report on.

Angelo

Let us not forget----Tom is a G-Shock watch enthusiast too, not just a radio man!

Right Angelo!
