I don't own any of the radios you discussed, but I do own a CCRadio-SW, and I find it to have very good MW AM reception, excellent FM reception and very nice sound quality, with excellent bass for its size.

I own the shortwave version of the RF-877 (as reviewed here several years ago) and I think I may have to take it out of storage again after watching your video. I recall it having really good sound quality and being one of my favorite radios for just browsing through the AM and shortwave bands.
They're still quite plentiful on Yahoo Japan auctions and the exchange rate is far better today than it was when I bought mine (almost 30 percent better than 2 years ago).
