Every Christmas is basically the same. It's a love-fest for blind, aimless consumerism. Spend money! Get fat! One industry relies on the one that came before it. How will the celebrities pushing workout DVDs and gyms make their money if you haven't stuffed your face over the Christmas period? They even recycle the same ads every year - they're not even trying anymore because they know we'll play the game, because we've become obsessed with the trivial to the point where we rarely look up and see what's really going on. One should always try something new, and build up a library of experiences. Apart from the sentiments of peace and goodwill, Christmas has become boring.

I've always felt the binge industry (fast food) complements the purge (workout) industry.
