I don't put up external Christmas lights anymore -- too much frickin' work! When my kids were younger we would go out in the car on Christmas Eve and look at all the lights in the neighborhood and it became a family tradition that we still do today. I'm always happy to let others do the heavy lifting and get the outrageous power bills.
I guess the thing that perplexes me Jeff, is that you have announced that one or two more watches to add to your collection and "you're out". What does that really mean? That you have exhausted your interest in horology, or is merely an exercise in self-control? To prove to yourself that you can be content with what you have and not feel the burning desire to flip, re-buy, and acquire? Is there some inner peace that will come from this, or is it something you want to prove to yourself? Or do you want the Watch Obsessive torment to just stop because you're exhausted by it?
Whatever the answer, I wish you the best and hope you can obtain inner peace.
