The Tuna was a grail for you not too long ago! What was it, about two years ago? That was a dream watch! You aspired to the Tuna, targeted it, had dreams of owning it! Hard to imagine it went from the king of the mountain to being sold. Wow, how times have changed. The mighty have fallen. As for the unboxing, I was unnerved by it. It was hard for me to watch----your expression and reaction told the preliminary story----a negative first impression. I am hopeful that it will grow on you (figuratively of course, since you mentioned several times that it plays smaller than a 44 MM, so I doubt it will be growing literally). I hope the finish of the watch is top notch and the design keeps you interested. Waiting for your follow up.

The Attesa is too fancy for me. I'm flipping it. If I ever hunger for the Tuna again, I'll get the new version, the SBBN033, which has thicker lume paint presumably. But I'm in no rush. I'm a bit jaded, just in time for Christmas.

It looks better in the flesh than in photos. Kinda shiny and stylish, almost like a Rado. I prefer it to your other black watch. Here in the UK we have a law where anything you buy online, you can return for a full refund within 14 days. I don't know if you have anything like that in the US but it would sure be useful for trying out new watches.

There's an interesting phenomenon here and that is most Watch Obsessive's tastes are so specific and esoteric that unless one lives in Tokyo, Hong Kong, New York, London, Geneva, or Paris the chances of physically examining a particular watch before buying it is close to zero. So we have to look at photos available on-line, read published reviews, and read posted comments on discussion fora in order to make a decision. It's unfortunate, but it's part of the hobby -- buying things sight unseen and then making a decision when it finally arrives. We could tell Jeff's immediate reaction was one of surprise and mild disappointment in the video. So, he'll lose a few bucks on the flip -- it's not the end of the world and I consider it a byproduct of the hobby.

My observation is that Jeff is still mostly delighted by bold, manly tool watches. The high-end MRG, MTG, and GPW Casios are calling, I do believe...
