Man, if the Raiders do move back to LA, you're going to be ready to greet them and no style with all those black and silver watches!

So the Citizen Signature Grand Touring BN0070 is gone, the Citizen "Blacktessa" is gone, and the Seiko SRP655 is gone. What was learned by that turnover? Does an Exit Watch still exist as a theoretical concept?

I see a love of toolish Japanese watches here and I think that's great. Is there any tug for color in the collection like a Pepsi or perhaps an orange or blue dial? Or have you extinguished that urge in the past?

In style, I meant. Damn autocorrect.

I may get a blue dial someday, something like a Seiko Sawtooth blue dial. Perhaps Seiko will have something like that next watch season.

Interesting product:

Seems extremely similar to the Gotenna: http://www.gotenna.com/

Gotoky: only 0.5 W of power vs. the Gotenna's 2 W

Gotoky: uses UHF FRS channels vs. Gotenna's use of the MURS VHF bands, which have better propagation.

Gotoky also works as a normal walkie talkie on 460MHz.

Is the Gotenna like an emergency cell phone in case cell service goes out? I didn't even know we had UHF anymore. I thought that was a TV band.

Gary

Much of our over-the-air TV in Los Angeles is on UHF, but quite a bit of public service radio, like police and fire, is on UHF as well.
