Gary has apprised us of Jay Allen's 2017 AM Radio "Shoot Out".
No surprises here. C.Crane makes the best AM for today's radios and the Panasonic RF-2200 remains the AM king.

I wonder where the Panasonic 888 would rate in his group?

My take is he'd give it 4 stars for AM. Poor selectivity on FM though. But once you lock on an FM station, you're fine.

Sorry, Ante, I haven't been posting. My radio obsession is not what it used to be. I do find that SWLing post is an excellent continuation of the radio obsession. http://swling.com/blog/

I was hoping for more on radios from you, and a lessening of watches. Pocket knives and other tool area discussions are good, too. I enjoyed what I learned about radios, and I found a strong interest in 49s 50s early modern plastic case table radios. Read a great deal about them online, but unfortunately there is nothing on AM I want to listen to. Hoping you land on a new topic.
